MASHFF PERSONNEL BOARD <br /> MEETING OF MAY 23, 1994 <br /> MASHF E TOWN HALL <br /> The following members of the Board were resent : Robert cul l `�va.n, doe <br /> ella ala{ Marcia Lindsey and Schuyer Aires . Leo Turo was absent <br /> Chief Frye was also present during the meeting , <br /> Bob Sullivan convened the meeting- at 9 : 00 a <br /> m. <br /> Inter views for Police Officer ecial Police Officer <br /> The Board and Chief F.rye met with the fallowing candidates for the <br /> purpose of interviewing them for a position of Police Officer or <br /> Special Police Officer: . Anson Moore, Edwin F.ein. Sean Dunne <br /> y. David <br /> Rivera. John Doyle. and Thomas Zine . Candidates were asked set <br /> questions relating to job interest, motivation and judgement . The nate <br /> of pay of $ 10 . 98 an dour was disco sed and the hours of the position <br /> were reviewed . Each candidate "s background was discussed for job <br /> experience and education and/or academy training , At the end of the <br /> interview process , the Board narrowed down the selection process to <br /> conduct background checks on : David Rivera, T-homas Zine and Anson <br /> Moore . <br /> Mote : These interviews were in continuation of several other � <br /> interviews of candidates which took the Police Exam held last October, <br /> Job Descri tion royal <br /> Joe Dellagaia moved to accept the job description of the Assistant <br /> onservatidn -Agent with the added wards : "any other duties as may be <br /> required" . Marcia Lindsey seconded the motion. All in favor . <br /> Joe moved to accept the updated job description of the Conservation <br /> Agent with the added words : ,'any other duties as may be required" and <br /> under "Supervision' F ercised" : responsible for all Conservation <br /> Department staff . Schuyler Wires seconded the motion. All in favor. <br /> Joe mored to accept the position description of Administrative Floating <br /> Clerk with the added words : `zany other duties as may be required" . <br /> Discussion centered around the typing speed being set at 50 w . p .m. Bob <br /> Sullivan seconded the motion . All in favor. <br /> The roam reviewed the position descriptions, of Head Lifeguards, <br /> Lifeguards , Gate Attendants and Beach iperinendent , <br /> Head Lifeguard <br /> Under qualifications, they removed the requirement of a Mass . Drivers <br /> License and added the word "'preferred" to a minimum of one year# s <br /> service on ocean and/or freshwater beachfront . Item 7 was changed to <br /> read : "May not have in possession or consume alcoholic beverages . . . �t <br /> and item 11 was added : "No glass containers allowed on beach . " and an <br /> item 12 was added : "Responsible nsibla for -enforcing all beach rules and <br />
