Mashpee Planning and Construction Committee Minutes of Meeting Held Thursday, May 10, 2018 Mashpee Town Hall--Ockway Meeting Room Committee Members Present: Steve Cook,Joe Brait, and Geoff Gorman Absent: Tom O'Neill Also Present: Catherine Laurent, DPW Patty DuBoer Chairman Steve Cook called the meeting to order at 5:15 p.m. Approval of Minutes Joe Brait motioned to accept the minutes of the Meeting of April 12, 2018 as written; and Steve Cook seconded the motion. Vote: 3 Yes; Unanimous. Steve Cook, yes. Joe Brait,yes. Geoff Gorman, yes. Old Business Update on Quashnet School Window Roof Project On May 3, work on Phase 1A finished for students to return to the classrooms and students were relocated for Phase 1B to start. A few windows were not received. Temporary windows have been installed in their place. These will be replaced with the correct windows over summer break. Patty DuBoer relayed at the principal was unhappy with the finish workmanship in Phase 1A, specifically the caulking and seams on the Corian countertops. Catherine Laurent will check on status of completion of all work. No final payment will be made for Phase 1A until the Town is satisfied. Phase 1B will continue through the end of May. Two additional proposal requests have been issued to the contractor. • PR09 is for additional work in the courtyard. The original scope included provision of an accessible path through the courtyard as required for ADA compliance. The proposal requests pricing for adding a patio adjacent to the teachers' lounge and replacing the loam/seed with mulch/river stone. Grass is a maintenance issue for DPW. • PR10 is for revisions to the roof edge. Based on conditions found with Phase 1A,the existing blocking can be re-used.
