Mashpee Planning and Construction Committee <br /> Minutes of Meeting Held Thursday, May 10, 2018 <br /> Mashpee Town Hall--Ockway Meeting Room <br /> Committee Members Present: Steve Cook,Joe Brait, and Geoff Gorman <br /> Absent: Tom O'Neill <br /> Also Present: Catherine Laurent, DPW <br /> Patty DuBoer <br /> Chairman Steve Cook called the meeting to order at 5:15 p.m. <br /> Approval of Minutes <br /> Joe Brait motioned to accept the minutes of the Meeting of April 12, 2018 as written; and Steve <br /> Cook seconded the motion. <br /> Vote: 3 Yes; Unanimous. <br /> Steve Cook, yes. Joe Brait,yes. Geoff Gorman, yes. <br /> Old Business <br /> Update on Quashnet School Window Roof Project <br /> On May 3, work on Phase 1A finished for students to return to the classrooms and students <br /> were relocated for Phase 1B to start. A few windows were not received. Temporary windows <br /> have been installed in their place. These will be replaced with the correct windows over <br /> summer break. Patty DuBoer relayed at the principal was unhappy with the finish <br /> workmanship in Phase 1A, specifically the caulking and seams on the Corian countertops. <br /> Catherine Laurent will check on status of completion of all work. No final payment will be made <br /> for Phase 1A until the Town is satisfied. Phase 1B will continue through the end of May. <br /> Two additional proposal requests have been issued to the contractor. <br /> • PR09 is for additional work in the courtyard. The original scope included provision of an <br /> accessible path through the courtyard as required for ADA compliance. The proposal <br /> requests pricing for adding a patio adjacent to the teachers' lounge and replacing the <br /> loam/seed with mulch/river stone. Grass is a maintenance issue for DPW. <br /> • PR10 is for revisions to the roof edge. Based on conditions found with Phase 1A,the <br /> existing blocking can be re-used. <br />
