Board of Appeals Minutes - October 12 . 1994 <br /> Wiggins said possibly one truck would be stored overnight , <br /> He said second shift would finish baling and do cleaning. <br /> Mr . Friel suggested having a limit of work to 6 P ,M, <br /> Henry Derosiers , an abutter, expressed concern with noise <br /> when doors are open in summer and that exhaust fines from <br /> the trucks , Mr , Govoni explained that the Board of Health <br /> would have jurisdiction on control of noise and odor . <br /> Sidney Heimberg, an abutter, explained that his development <br /> had seven lots for sale on a new road, Sturgis Lane . H <br /> said Mashpee Wakeby lake was only 15001 from this site . He <br /> said this was an industrial site operation but they are <br /> applying for wholesale and storage use in a commercial <br /> zone , He said he understood there would -not be any heat in <br /> the wintertime or any system to catch the pollutants , He <br /> said there was no air conditioning and that doors would be <br /> open in the summer and pollutants would be airborne . Mr . <br /> Heirberg asked to make requests to Board of Appeals and <br /> read his notes . Mr . Friel asked to have the hearing move <br /> on to other comments . Mr , Heiberg submitted his notes . <br /> Barnett Berliner .. an abutter , stated than L. the planned use <br /> was industrial and would downgrade the residential area . <br /> He said this was a sang k.ary processing plant and would <br /> generate vermin . He said the vans and bottles would have <br /> sugar in them and . wou ld attract insects . <br /> Attorney Daniel Blackmon, representing Wayne Garrett, a <br /> direct abutter, questioned how many Machines would be used <br /> in the plant . Mr . Wiggins said two machines would be used . <br /> Mr . Blackmon questioned if there was enough parking for <br /> employees as well as the trucks . He presented his written <br /> comments with definitions of packaging and said this was <br /> not permitted in a C-2 zone . He said it could be <br /> considered sale of salvaged materials which are not <br /> permitted anywhere in Mash ee . He discussed the. a i ry <br /> cardboard -- cardboard which was sent from the U . S . to <br /> Japan and then reused and returned to the U . S. He said <br /> this is now considered hazardous waste , Mr . Govoni said <br /> the Board would have advice from the Board of Health and <br /> D.E.P . Attorney Blackmon said his client had a recycling <br /> business next door and that children come on bikes on Echo <br /> Road. He said the seven large trucks would be a safety <br /> hazard . He noted that the existing building already has <br /> lot coverage and they are planning to add a truck scale and <br /> loading dock which would increase the coverage . <br /> i <br />
