r <br /> r J <br /> I <br /> MASHP E SCHOOL COMMITTEE - i1GC]�..'BAR MEETING - MANOR 1, 1995 PAGE <br /> 5.4 Enrollments - Dr. DeMoura updated the Committee on the <br /> enrollments as of March 1, 1995. Currently.' there are 1,693 <br /> students in grades preschool-Grade 12 . The breakdown is as <br /> follows: 527 at Coombs; 878 at the Middle School; and 288 <br /> at Falmouth High School. Cape Cod Tech is showing an <br /> enrollment of 55 Mashpee students. <br /> 5 .5 Food Service Update -- Dr. DeMoura reported a January profit <br /> of $481.59 which does not include any Maintenance costs. <br /> 5.6 Selection Process - High School Principal - Dr. DeMoura <br /> informed the Committee of the upcoming selection process to <br /> be used in hiring the Mashpee High School Principal. He <br /> said that all Committee members are automa'tica�lly placed on <br /> the selection committee along with the High School Committee <br /> members. He said the first meeting will be held on <br /> Thursday, March 9, 1995 at :00 p.m. in the Middle School <br /> Library. He asked the Committee to review upcoming meeting <br /> dates. <br /> Vie . 1 FY96 Budget - Dr. DeMoura reported on a meeting held o <br /> Specifically February 21 with Ms. Gibbs and Finance Committee Liaison <br /> Assigned/ Marcia King. Topic of that discussion was the F,"Y96 school <br /> unfinished budget wherein Ms. King stated she would support a $100, 000 <br /> Business increase to $6,707 ,975. This revised recommendation from <br /> $6,607,975 would be contingent upon the withdrawal of the <br /> article for medical reimbursement and the submission of <br /> new budget. Dr. DeMoura recommended that the Committee <br /> approve the new FY96 budget figure of $6,706,975 . <br /> Lotion made by sir. Consalvi, seconded by Mr. Paxton, to <br /> approve the FY96 school budget figure of $6, 706, 975 . <br /> VOTE: Unanimous <br /> -M . Gibbs stated-that- the $6,.706,9.75 would be accepted with <br /> : the Proviso. that f- the --special �-educatio costs exceeded the <br /> _- <br /> existing- -Ii.ne item, the- School Department would ask the <br /> Finance Committee for additional funds. <br /> Dr. DeMoura said he will check on a convenient meeting date <br /> involving the School Committee, Finance Committee and Board <br /> of Selectmen to discuss the special education contingency <br /> issue mentioned a.bovee . <br /> 6*2 Mani. Town Meeting - Saturday, April 22, 1995 - Dr. DeMoura <br /> addressed the Committee on including a public hearing for <br /> teacher and administrator professional standards as well a <br /> the FY96 budget as part of the mini town meeting. <br /> 6. 3 Professional Development Plan - Dr. DeMoura said he has <br /> contacted Attorney Butler regarding the Professional <br />
