I <br /> MASHPEE SCHOOL COMMITTEE - REGULAR MEETING - JULY 5f 1995 PAGE <br /> 8 . 2 . 4 Legislation - Mrs . Mills reported that, as Mrs. <br /> Lynch had mentioned earlier, is was very <br /> difficult to charge the SPED rules . <br /> 8 . 2 , 5 safe Transportation Task Force -- Mr. Paxton <br /> stated that there was no meeting held but he <br /> reported receiving a number of phone calls from <br /> parents regarding a problem with the bus stop at <br /> 100 Great Deck Road. He stated that the parents <br /> were concerned about the business located at this <br /> bus stop that starting serving alcohol at : o <br /> p,r . He reported that according to their liquor <br /> license, they were allowed to do so. However, <br /> the parents were concerned about the safety of <br /> the children getting off this stop in the <br /> afternoons . Mr. Paxton read a. letter that he <br /> would like the school Committee to forward to the <br /> Selectmen requested that the selectmen put <br /> stipulation on this establishment' s liquor <br /> license disallowing thea to serve alcohol until <br /> after the ]yids are home from school . <br /> Motion rade by Ms . Gibbs, seconded by Mr. Paxton, to forward <br /> the letter to the Selectmen. <br /> VOTE : Unanimous <br /> 8 .2 . 6 Personnel Committee -- Ms . Gibbs stated that they <br /> had not met fret and. asked Dr. DeMoura for his <br /> suggestions on who this committee should be <br /> comprised of. Dr. DeMoura suggested to include a <br /> member from the Association, a principal, a <br /> Ma tepee minority, and the Superintendent. <br /> X1 . Mr. Paxton stated he had received a letter from Linda Murtha <br /> Other regarding her son, Nick. Mrs. Murtha stated that her son was <br /> a. gifted student and was concerned that he would excel to his <br /> full potential at the Coombs School . <br /> Mrs . Lynch stated her concern regarding the principals <br /> distributing prescription medications to the children in the <br /> school nurse' s absence . She asked Dr. DeMour a what the <br /> policy was regarding this . After a lengthy discussion, Mrs. <br /> Mills suggested that this item be placed on next month' s <br /> agenda for .further discussion and to cone to an agreement on <br />
