• Mei PEE PUBLIC SCHOOLS REGULAR MEETI 1 SEPTEMBER 6r 1995 Minutes I. The regular meeting of the School Committee was called to Call Meeting order by Chairperson Janice Mills at 7 : 02 p.m. in the to Order Middle School Library. Attendees: School Committee - Chairperson Janice Mills, Steve Paxton, laid Consalvi, and Kathy Lynch. Administration: Superintendent of Schools Dai. Lincoln A. eMou ra, Coombs School principal Nick Feldman, Middle School principal Robert Tippo, and High School principal John Williams* I I, Motion Stade by Mr. Pat on, seconded by Mrs. Lynch, ,to approve Approval of the minutes of the regular meeting of August 6r 1995 as Minutes amended. VOTE: Unanimous Mrs. dills welcomed the administrative staff. teachers and students back to school as today was the first day of the 1995-1996 school year. III, Maureen Paxton expressed her concerns regarding the latest Public Forum version of Grades 1-3 Progress Deport stating that the 1,2, system does not provide a large enough spread for grading a a lr2r3,4,5 systemwould that focuses on the children more clearly. Mrs. Mills said this topic is on the agenda tonight and will be discussed later. At this point in the meeting, Mrs. Mills addressed the School Committee vacancy issue. The three interested candidates were present at the meeting and each was interviewed the each member of the Committee. After their interviews, Mrs. Mills thanked Phyllis Sprout, Carol Marasa, and Theresa Cook for their .interest on serving on the Mashpee School Committees Icommuni- cations {4 , . 1 School Committee L ' V in- cations X4 , 1. 1 M. .S. . Workshop on ollective Bar ainin - Dr. eMoura asked who would be attending this workshop on September 16 alone with him. Mrs. Mills, Mrs* Lynch r and Mr, Paxton all expressed interest. Dr. DeMoura will contact the Board of Selectmen and Finance Committee to ask if their liaison would also like to attend.
