Tippo reported that he and Mr. <br /> Feldman met with former science engineers to work with grade <br /> students with hands-on science projects; a reorganization <br /> sub-committee meeting will be held on February 13; the PTO <br /> has done preliminary work on a new playground; there was an <br /> audio-visual Meld trip to Channel 7 last week. <br /> 5 . 3 Enrollments - Dr. DeMoura said enrollments are "fairly <br /> stable. " There are currently 1,791 students in grades ps-12 <br /> with 60 at Cape Cod Tech. Mrs. Mills stressed the need to <br /> follow up with Falmouth High school students who have left <br /> the school. Mrs. Lynch suggested obtaining Falmouth High <br /> School student input and and activities from the Falmouth <br /> High School Council.. <br /> 5.4 Food Service Update - Dr, Del+ oura informed the <br /> Committee that for the month of November,, the dross profit <br /> was $2, 095.52 while the December gross profit was $99.20. <br /> 5 .5 FY96 Monthly -Budget Review - Dr. DeMoura asked the <br /> Committee if there were any questions. Mrs* Lynch <br /> questioned the special education budget. Dr, DeMoura said <br /> we r re "'right there" and will have a small balance. Also, <br /> there is some difficulty in the energy accounts due to the <br /> severe winter we have experienced thus far. <br /> 5, 6 FY97 Bu c t � Dr. DeMoura told the Committee that by <br /> February 13, FY9 7 Budget Draft #6 will be ready for pick up <br /> in his office. This is the budget that will be discussed at <br /> the joint meeting with the three school councils on February <br /> 15, 1996 at 7 :00 p.m. in the Middle School Library. <br /> 5.7 School Choice Program - Wareham student - Dr. De ours <br /> said that Wareham is a school Choice District and we <br /> currently have one student who resides in Mashpee attending <br /> Wareham schools. The tuition rate of $2,736 will be <br /> subtracted from Chapter 70 receipts. <br /> 5. 8 MakingUp of Da - Dr, Deora said the school system <br /> has currently used 5 snow days this year and the last clay of <br /> school will be June 25th,. If approved b the Falmouth <br /> � y <br /> School Committee, Falmouth High school students will have a <br /> longer day due to the gas days that were needed earlier in <br /> the year. If this should occur, the high- school day will <br /> end at : 00 p.m. and we will pick up these students after <br /> the elementary students arrive hone. <br /> .9 Impact Aid Letter -- Dr. Del ours informed the Committee <br /> that due to new legislation, Mashpee no longer meets <br /> eligibility criteria which now only counts those in active <br /> military service.
