Committee and School <br /> Councils meeting of February 15, 1996. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous <br /> Kimberly Costello expressed her distress over the Odyssey- <br /> Public of-the-Mind Tournament and the Science Fairs being scheduled <br /> Forum on the sane day, Saturday, March 1 . She felt the dates <br /> should have been coordinated and this conflict could have <br /> been avoided. Mrs. Mills asked Dr. DeMoura if the Science <br /> Fairs could possibly be changed. Dr. DeMoura responded that <br /> world not be possible this year but perhaps next year. <br /> Mrs. Costello also asked when the CTBS scores would be <br /> released to the public. D e DeMoura said these test scores <br /> are an in-house instrument and individual scores will b <br /> sent hone. Mr. Paxton asked why aren't these test scores <br /> published like the MEAP scores? Dr. DeMoura said these <br /> tests are administered -to be used as a pretest to determine <br /> what needs to be strengthened and see what's been achieved. <br /> Coombs School Librarian Diane Kingsley addressed the <br /> Committee on her concerns over the libraries being <br /> understaffed and not fully utilized. She said the current <br /> proposal is a disservice to the students and staff. <br />
