MASHPEE SCHOOL COMMITTEE REGULAR MEETING - APRIL 3. 1996 PAGE 2 <br /> Dana Leahy complained of his son having continuous headaches <br /> and spontaneous nosebleeds as a result of the poor air <br /> duality in Room III at the Middle School. He stressed the <br /> urgency to have the situation rectified tomorrow. <br /> Therese Davis addressed the Committee on her son`s three <br /> sinus infections since October and comes home with <br /> headaches. She asked would are the possibilities of <br /> removing the carpeting the classroom. Mrs. Mills suggested <br /> moving the children from the classroom in question to <br /> another location tomorrow morning. <br /> Kimberly Costello asked the Committee to support the RAGE <br /> article on the upcoming Town Meeting warrant, She said the <br /> RAGE committee meets every Tuesday at Barnstable High School <br /> at 7 :00 p.m. and asked for community support. <br /> Shannon Lee, a Grade 7 student at the Middle School, <br /> discussed her class project where she computed the number of <br /> sheets of paper used to send home notices -at the Coombs <br /> School and Middle School. She suggested wags in which to <br /> sageapproximately $3,000 from next year's budget by coming <br /> up with monthly newsletters in lieu of sending hone notices <br /> for each school. event. <br /> Jean West, President of the Band and Chorus Association, <br /> addressed the Committee on the proposed reduction of <br /> instrumental lessons from the F" 9 ' budget for grades 4-6. <br /> This reduction is caused by the current FY97 F97budgetary <br /> constraints at this time. Mrs. West asked the Committee to <br /> reconsider this reduction. <br /> IST. 4 . 1 School Committee <br /> Communi- <br /> cations <br /> ommoni- <br /> cations 4 . 1. 1 Jim Hardy MASC - Mrs., Mills introduced the neer <br /> Massachusetts Association of School Committees MASC field <br /> service representative.
