1 r MASHPEE PUBLIC SCHOOLS REGULAR MEETING MAY 1r 1996 minutes T . The regular meeting of the School Committee was called to Call Meeting order by Chair Janice Mills at 7 :32 p.m. in the Middle o Order School Library. Attendees: School Committee - Janice Mills, Stephen Paxton, David Consalvi, Kathleen Lynch, and Theresa Cook. Administration - Superintendent o± Schools Dr. Lincoln A. eMoura, Middle School Principal Robert Tippo, High School Principal John Williams. Coombs School Principal, Nick Feldman, was absent this evening. At this point, Mrs. Mills introduced Patricia Parolski who recognized all the students and coaches of the Odyssey of the Mind and Future Problem Solving programs. Mrs. Parolski thanked Grade 4 teacher Judy Conery and Grade 6 teacher Michael Forge for their efforts in conducting these programs. VOTE: Unanimous 2 .2 Executive Session of Aril 3 1996 - Motion made by Mr. Consalvi, seconded by Mr. Paxton, to approve the minutes of ' the executive session of April 3, 1996. VOTE: Unanimous III. There was no public forum input this evening. Public Forum 4 . 1 School Committee - The following three letters were received Communications regarding Governor weldfs proposed changes in the Education Reform Act eliminating scho'ol committees: 4 . 1. 1 Correspondence from representative Thomas C„whir dated p _il 11, 199 - Representative Cahir stated he is a strong proponent of school committees and would oppose any initiatives that may jeopardize the future of school committees.
