Committee - Kathleen Lynch, Janice <br /> Mills, Theresa Cook, Maryanne Macdonald. Chairman Stephen <br /> Paxton arrived at :o p-me <br /> Administration - Superintendent of Schools Dr. Lincoln A. <br /> DeMoura, Principals Nick Feldman, Robert Tippo and .Louise <br /> Doyle. <br /> Vice Chair Mrs. Lynch opened the special meeting at 6: 00 p.m. <br /> in the Middle School Library. <br /> Michelle Drum spoke on behalf of the Ma hpee Band ,and Chorus <br /> Parents Association asking the committee to vote in favor of <br /> music lessons. <br /> Dr. DeMoura discussed the FY96 F96budget trap- sfers attached <br /> memo) . <br /> Discussion then following on shuttling of students between the <br /> high school and middle school for after-school athletics, <br /> i.e. , field hockey, football, and soccer programs) , <br /> Mrs. Lynch suggested going out to bid on gasoline, Dr. <br /> DeMoura will investigate this possibility. <br /> Mrs. dills expressed concern over -the audio-visual surplus <br /> equipment. She suggested devising a capital expenditure plan. <br /> Mr. Paxton suggested that balances should be used for' capital <br /> expenditures equipment replacement and building maintenance. ) <br /> Mrs. Lynch suggested doing more maintenande this year and <br /> reduce these accounts next year by moving these monies to the <br /> textbook account. Mrs. Mills agreed with this suggestion. <br /> Mrs. Lynch questioned purchasing of air quality monitoring <br /> equipment. D o DeMoura said there are currently four air <br /> exchange units on the Middle School roof. However, equipment <br /> for temperature, humidity, carbon dioxide and,carbon monoxide, <br /> air velocity would be required. Mrs. Mills suggested <br /> purchasing this equipment through the high , school bona for <br /> science classes. Dr. DeMoura will look at this possibility. <br /> Motion made by Mrs. Malls to transfer the following <br />
