Beginning September, children h�ldren must <br /> be five years of age by September 1* Mash ee's <br /> December p pol�c was <br /> changed in ] e <br /> r 19 9�4 reflecting an entrance age of five <br /> by August 31, <br /> Mrs. Lynch asked how many kindergarten registrations <br /> currently were, re g there <br /> eMoura answered 144 as of last week. <br /> 5,7 i h School Scholarshi s and Awards - FalmouthHigh ugh school <br /> forwarded .i Ings of seniors depicting the high school <br /> i scholarships and awards as well- as their college/work <br /> choices. Mashpee students were "asterisked" on these <br /> listings. Also noted was one Cape cod Tech student who <br /> received a $1, o D o scholarship from Cape Cod Quilters. <br /> vT. 6, 1 Air Quality - Re ort of occuHealth Barnstableo - <br /> unt <br /> Included in the packet were two reports regarding the air <br /> quality issues currently ongoing at the Middle School. <br /> Both <br /> reports indicated air quality problems and included <br /> recommended solutions, Br. BeMoura outlined each report and <br /> recommended performing an assessment <br /> of the existing <br /> equipment before purchasing new a aipment. Ms. Macdonald <br /> expressed concerns over the length of time taken to do the <br /> air duality work and asked to have problems handled before <br /> school opens in September. <br /> 6.2 Air Ouality RFP - Because of time constraints on the draft <br /> RFP, Dr. DeMoura asked for additional time <br /> to send out the <br /> bid. Ads must be placed in the newspaper a er and forwarded t <br /> the Goods -and Services Bulletin. Thus, the date was chap ed <br /> from July .1 , 1996 to August 16, 1996 . <br /> Motion made by Mrs. Mills, seconded . by Mrs. Cook to approve <br /> � <br /> the air quality RFP and send out. pp <br /> VOTE: . Unanimous <br /> 6.3 Modular Classrooms - At the July 8, 1996 School Committee <br /> tee <br /> Meeting, r. BeMoura informed the Committee of the recei t <br /> of one bid for modular classroomsp <br /> �n case the high school. <br /> was not reader in t-ime for school opening in September, The <br /> total bid price was $130, 000 from G.E. Modular ..ace. Dr. <br /> BeIoura explained at t p <br /> p that time he felt the high school will <br /> be able to be occup.L d in September and thus would not need <br /> the .nodular classrooms. <br /> Mr. Payton, referring to an article in the Cape Cod Times <br /> suggesting not to brine food in carpeted areas, asked where <br /> the students would eat?
