SAFE TRANSPORTATION TASK FORCE <br /> JOINT MEETING WITH THE SCHOOL COMMITTEE <br /> TIER 15, 1996 <br /> minutes <br /> Attendees: Safe Transportation Task Force -- Maria Fisher, <br /> Janet Walsh, Rose Regan, Widdy Langler. <br /> School Committee -- Chairman Steve Paxton, Kathleen Lynch, <br /> Theresa Cook, Maryanne Macdonald. Janice Mills was absent <br /> this evening. <br /> Administration - Superintendent of Schools fir. Lincoln A. <br /> DeMoura, Coombs School Principal Nick Feldman, Middle School <br /> Principal Robert Tippo, Elementary School Principal Louise <br /> Doyle, and High School Principal John Williams. <br /> Laidlaw Representative - Mike Thompson <br /> Mr. Paxton cal led .the meeting to order in the Middle School <br /> Library at 7: 04 p.m. a said the School. Committee had been <br /> invited to tonight's meeting to share parent concerns <br /> regarding bus stops. <br /> Motion' made by Mr, Feldman to approve the minutes of September <br /> 17 , 1996. Motion seconded by Mrs. .Fisher. <br /> Discussion followed on the September 17th minutes as each <br /> entry was discussed. Regarding the bus stop at 528-548 Cotuit <br /> Road, it was decided that a meeting will be scheduled among <br /> parents, administration and Laidlaw. However, Mr. Paxton <br /> noted the bins stops will be reviewed again. <br /> Mrs. Antunes discussed the issue of adding a stop at her house <br /> as well as one on Pine Street. <br /> After that issue was resolved the motion on approval of t <br /> � pp he <br /> September 17, 1996 was voted upon. <br /> NOTES Unanimous. � <br /> Mrs Paxton reviewed Mr. Clarkers letter regarding a school bus <br /> and school van pickup conflict. It was decided to have the <br /> school bus pick up the Clarke children as before at 80 <br /> uinaqui set, not 70 Quinaquisset,, <br /> Kayla -Bellantoni expressed concern of her daughter climbing <br /> over the g and rail at Lakeside Trailer Park to get on the <br /> bus a Mr. Paxton said this will be reviewed before moving the <br /> Stop <br /> Mrs. Lopes said Bus #6 stops too far from her hone and asked <br />
