Paxton, Mrs. Cook, Mrs. Mills, Ms. Macdonald, Absent from voting, Mrs. Lynch. 8.5 Roaming the High Sghggl: Maryanne Macdonald requested the Committee's consideration to rename the Mashpee pee High School to the Mashpee Jr/Sr High School. Ms. Macdonald discussed the positive impact of the name change for the benefit of seventh and eighth graders presently attending the school. In response, Mr.William indicated that he will survey the students, and discuss this matter with the School Council, and return with a recommendation to the Comrnittee. 8. ni a ' lin The agenda topic was removed from discussion at this time. 8.7 Adde far Smial„Tgwn Mgg To see if the Town wiH vote to r se and appropriate or transfer from available funds$65,000 to reimburse the FY97 School Budget for expenses related to the education of high school students. Motion made by Mrs. Cook to approve the Special Town Meeting article s presented to forward to the Board of Selectmen for placement on the 'May 1997 Town Meeting warrant. Motion seconded by ibis. Macdonald. Unanimous. ix, 9.1 "A rr at" olio A: The Committee reviewed the Agenda Format Policy of the Mashpee School Committee as presented. Buincss It was noted that the Student Advisory Council was added to the agenda format. Discussion followed. It is the consensus of the Committee to include in the School Committee's packet, general information relative to the i Schools as provided from the School Principals. This policy N iH be voted upon at the March regular meeting.
