MASHPEE PUBLIC SCHOOLS <br /> JOINT MEETING BETWEEN SCHOOL COMMITTEE AND <br /> HIGH SCHOOL BUILDING COMMITTEE <br /> IMITT <br /> JUNE 2 , 199' <br /> Minutes <br /> Attendees: School Committee - Chairwoman Kathleen Lynch, Theresa Cook, <br /> Maryanne Macdonald, and Stephen Paxton. Also in attendance was <br /> Superintendent of Schools Dr. Lincoln A. DeMoura. <br /> High School Building Committee - chairman Paul Griffin, Peter Dinizio., School <br /> Committee Liaison Janice Mills, Merry Sue Ahlgren arrived at 4:25 p.m., <br /> Joseph Polito arrived at 4:17 p.m. Also in attendance were clerk-of-the-Works <br /> Jim Byrne and Ian Aitchison from Chartwell. <br /> At :30 .m., Mr. Griffins asked the School Committee to address their concerns <br /> and questions. Mrs, cooly asked why has not the hook-up between the School <br /> Facilities Supervisor computer and the high school building control system <br /> been made? She was infor ed by Mr. Griffin that that request had been <br /> approved about two months ago. Dr. DeMoura ask d'if that should be placed <br /> on a School Department purchase order or a Town Purchase orders Mr. Griffin ' <br /> advised to use a School Department purchase order but use the School <br /> Building Account number. <br /> Mrs. Lynch expressed the following concerns: <br /> I. Are the fields ready enough to schedule sports events in the fall? lir. <br /> Griffin said yes, the ball fields will be ready in September with some <br /> fields in better condition than others, i.e., some problems exist with <br /> the Pitcher's mounds, "dressing up" of the infields need to be done. <br /> He said "overa.H, however, the fields,are in very good shape for this <br /> time of the year." <br /> 2. Will there be bleachers? Mr. Griffin said no, as there were n <br /> intentions to include bleachers in the plans clue to existing budgetary <br /> problems,that existed with the ball fields and irrigation problems that <br /> had to be corrected. <br />
