i <br /> r <br /> MASHPEE SCHOOL COMMITTEE - REGULAR MEETING - JULY 28, 1997 PAGE <br /> 7.7 Grades 1- Re ort cards - Dr. DeMoura explained that the Grades <br /> 1-6 report cards were reprised last year with the understanding that this <br /> issue would be revisited in the future. Dr. DeMoura recommended <br /> continuing to utilize the revised student reports card for the 1997-1998 <br /> school year. In January, 1998, additional revision recommendations will <br /> e addressed to the School Committee. Approved charges will be <br /> incorporated in the 1998-1999 school year report cards. <br /> Mrs. Lynch asked the principals how the report cards were received by <br /> the parents last year? All principals agreed there were no complaints. <br /> Motion made by Mrs. cool, seconded by Mr. Paxton, to continue to <br /> utilize the Grades 1-6 report carols as is. <br /> NOTE: Unanimous <br /> 8.1 Lunch Prices - 1997-1998 School Year - Mr. Paxton made a <br /> motion to increase the type A lurch from $1.25 to $1.80 but the milk <br /> price of $.25 will remain unchanged. His motion was seconded by Mrs. <br /> Cook. <br /> VOTE; Unanimous <br /> 7.4 K Enrollments -- Dr. I eMoura said there are currently 17' registered <br /> kindergarten students. Discussion thea followed on the ratio o <br /> kindergarten teachers to students and employing 8 kindergarten <br /> teachers vs. 9. Mrs. Lynch asked if the 177 includes those students who <br /> were retained from last year? Dr. DeMoura answered, "Yes." <br /> ]aI. Motion made by Ms. Macdonald, seconded by Mr. Paxton,,to move <br /> Executive into executive session to discuss collective bargaining at 8:35 p.m. <br /> Session Roll Call Note: In favor - Mrs. Lynch, Mr-s. cool, Ms. Macdonald, <br /> and Mr. Paxton; opposed - none. �Mrs. Mills was absent. <br /> The regular meeting reconvened at 9:22 p.m. <br /> Because Attorney William Butler was ire attendance, Mrs. Lynch <br /> asked him to address the issue of residency.
