MASHPEE SCHOOL COMMITTEE - REGULAR M STING - OCTOBER 7, 1997 PAGE 10 <br /> 8.7 Special Education Partition Purchase order - The Special <br /> Education Department requested a sound-proof partition in <br /> their office at the Coombs School to insure privacy and <br /> confidentiality. <br /> Because this partition would cost over $2,000, the School <br /> Committee policy ofinfo r ing them of any purchases ch v $2,000 <br /> prior to purchasing was in effect. <br /> Motion was made by Ms. Macdonald, seconded by Mr. Paxton, to <br /> approve purchasing the partition. <br /> Discussion thea followed with Ms. Macdonald asking if all the <br /> offices in the high school are being utilized? Mr. Williams said <br /> currently, no, but in a year, these offices will be utilized with Mrs. <br /> Day, once again, being relocated to another office. <br /> TE: In favor of approving the purchase of the Special Education <br /> sound--proof partition - Mrs. Lynch, Mrs. Cook and Mr. Paxton; <br /> opposed Ms. Macdonald. <br /> XII.
