MASHPEE SCHOOL COMMITTEE - REGULAR MEETING - FEBRUARY , 1998 PAGE 7 <br /> Falmouth High school - 150 with a total district enrollment <br /> of 1, 4. 63 M ashee students are currently enrolled at <br /> Cape cod 'tech. <br /> 7.9 Facilities Report - school Facilities Supervisor Don cook <br /> submitted the following ing annuary report: <br /> .SCC: <br /> The HVAC 'improvement specifications are complete and the bid <br /> has been advertised. <br /> • A starless waH cover was installed in the cafeteria at the <br /> opening where trays are placed to protect the wall and improve_.,. <br /> sanitation. <br /> DuctshnetSchools: - <br /> • Hallway was painted by maintenance staff. . <br /> • New vinyl baseboard installed in areas of the cafeteria and <br /> hallway by maintenance staff. <br /> . <br /> • A stainless wall cover was installed in the cafeteria at the <br /> opening where trays are placed to protect the wall and 'improve <br /> sanitation. <br /> • A second chemical blending system was added for the custodial <br /> department to save time by cutting the distance in half to <br /> dispense products. <br /> One half the cost of replacing the water heating boiler Will be <br /> paid by the gas company (approximately $7,000). <br /> :gh School: <br /> • Vinyl base was installed in the corridors to improve the <br /> appearance and cleanliness (paid by the school Building <br /> Committee). <br /> . <br /> • The Barnstable County Department of Health survey the <br /> building in regards to hazardous waste material handling and <br /> general safety practices. Minor problems were found and have <br /> been corrected. The high school in general has a good program <br /> and a report to the cape cod Commission will follow. <br /> §�Lstem-Wide: <br /> ■r.r <br /> • surplus items were approved by the Board of Selectmen. 'These <br /> items Will e 'ad ertised and on February 17th at 11:00 a.m. <br /> until 12:00 noon these items .may be bid on. <br />
