New Business 9.1 Extension of Leave of Absence - 1998-1999 - Kati <br /> Reynolds - Motion made by Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mrs. <br /> Cool, to grant permission for Mrs. Reynolds a leave of <br /> absence for the 1998-1999 school year. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous <br /> .2 Cape Cod Child Development...Program, Inc. Request -- <br /> Dr. DeMoura addressed the request of the Cape Cod Child <br /> Development Program wherein they asked if they could park <br /> one of their small school buses at the High School Monday <br /> through Friday from 3:0 .m.- : o a.m. as well as all day <br /> on Saturdays and Sundays. <br /> Discussion followed regarding liability to the tern. Dr. <br /> Moura Will follow up with a letter to the Board o <br /> Selectmen questioning this issue. <br /> Eased on the above condition, a motion was made by Mrs. <br /> Cook, seconded by Mr. Paxton, to approve the request of the <br /> Cape Cod Child Development Program. <br /> V E: Unanimous <br /> Mrs. Mills stressed that this is not a precedent-setting <br /> approval to allow parking on school property. <br /> 9.3 substitute Call service - Dr. DeMoura reported on a <br /> meeting with the administrators to discuss this issue. At <br /> that meeting, it was decided that although the Cape Cod <br /> Colla orative's agreement of $6,000 sounds expensive, it <br /> equals $33.33 per day and worth the expense. <br /> An alternative choice would be to create a stipend position o <br /> $4,500 Frith a message-center located at the high school and <br /> purchase of a fax machine. <br /> Dr. DeMoura recommended maintaining the substitute call <br /> service through the Collaborative for the 1998-1999 school <br /> year. <br />
