ASHPEE SCHOOL COMMITTEE --- SPECIAL, MEETING - JUN 2 , 1998 PAGE <br /> $63000 - M.A.S.C. fees <br /> $11500 - Materials <br /> • $3,800-$4,000 - Advertising <br /> • Although Mr. Hardy expressed there had already been interest <br /> in the Mashpee Superintendent's position, he suggested holding <br /> off on advertising until the last week in August because, he felt, <br /> there would be more qualified candidates available. <br /> In forming the community-based committee, Mr. Hardy would <br /> meet with representatives from the following groups: teachers' <br /> union, parents, PTO, School Councils, clergy, Selectmen, r <br /> . Finance Committee, Senior Center, Police Department, and Fire <br /> Department. Mfr. Hardy would then meet with the School <br /> Committee to inform thein of what the community-based <br /> committee is interested in for a new Superintendent. <br /> II. .S.C. would review all applications and thea forward the top <br /> 12 candidates who net the qualifications/specifications of the <br /> job. <br /> • Berm-finalists would be interviewed by only the School <br /> Committee at which time the top five candidates would be <br /> recommended for finalist interviews. <br /> • If all goes as planned, the new Superintendent would be hired <br /> by early December. After giving notice of resignation at the <br /> current employer, that individual would be taking over the <br /> duties in Mashpee in March, 1999. <br /> Motion made by Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Paxton, to put out the <br /> FFP for the Superintendent search. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous <br /> Approximate total for the above will be $11,500 plus travel <br /> expenses. with possible overnight travel expenses added, a grand <br /> total of $15,000 needs to be allocated for the Superintendent <br /> search. <br /> Discussion followed on Dr. DeMoura's accrued benefits. <br /> At this point, it was decided to make separate motions for FY98 <br /> expenditures and FY99 expenditures. � <br /> From the FY98 budget, the following expenditures will be taken: <br />
