MASHPEE PUBLIC SCHOOLS <br /> SPECIAL MEETING <br /> JULY 15, 1998 <br /> Minutes <br /> ttendees: Chairwoman Theresa Cook, Stephen Paxton, Maryann Macdonald, Kathleen <br /> ynch, and Janice Mills. Also in attendance was Superintendent of Schools r-. Lincoln A. <br /> eMoura. <br /> CaH Meeting The special meeting was called to order by Mrs. Cook at :o <br /> to Order p.m. in high school room B 103. <br /> Mrs. Cook asked to move the Leisure Services Summer Usage o <br /> the schools up on the agenda. The ;Committee agreed. <br /> I. Leisure Service Ms. Macdonald asked to have this issue placed on the agenda <br /> Summer Usage to clarify some concerns regarding the custodial staffing of the <br /> Agreement summer programs/camps at the elementary schools. Br. DeMoura <br /> said Leisure Services Director Gus Frederick is involved quite a fait <br /> and the programs are running well. It was decided at a recent <br /> meeting that school department supplies will be used and Leisure <br /> Services ill reimburse after the programs are completed. Mr. <br /> Frederick explained that Nauset, Inc. has four- employees currently <br /> cleaning the cafeteria after lunch. <br /> Mrs. Lynch expressed concern over cleaning up after breakfast. <br /> Mr. Frederick said the programs camps are responsible for their <br /> ern cleaning. Mrs. Lynch reiterated her concern for cleanliness <br /> after breakfast but before lunch. Ms. Macdonald asked to have the <br /> floors sept after breakfast if there will be no custodian on duty <br /> right after breakfast. Mr. Frederick will comply. <br /> Mrs. Cook said communication is very important. If policies need <br /> to be refined, then a meeting will be scheduled to discuss but the <br /> ones currently in dace are working. <br /> 11, High school Mr. Williams discussed the changes to the 1998-1999 high <br /> 1338-1333 school student handbook developed by the Discipline Committee <br /> Student Hard- including Assistant principal Ron Bock, representatives from the <br /> book Charges faculty, Student Council members, and then unanimously <br /> accepted by the High School Council, <br />
