Review of FY99 Dr. DeMoura discussed the FY99 budget stating at the present <br /> Budget time, 1% of the budget has been spent. He pointed out under <br /> "Replacement erg ent of q ipment," the copiers have been n placed in that <br /> function. Although a deficit of$1,404.65 is showing, transfers dill <br /> e made from "Acquisition of Equipment." A.lsol under <br /> "Administrative Technology," original budget showed no money but <br /> the need to update some software occurred. Again, a transfer will <br /> e made at a later slate. <br /> Mrs. Cook asked to follow past practices and cautioned to be <br /> careful with the money at the beginning of the year and not "crazily <br /> spend' at this point. <br /> Mr. Paxton reiterated Mrs. Cook's thoughts "sticking to our guns" <br /> when it comes to additional expenditure requests. Mrs. Lynch <br /> added that any new programs need to shove at the beginning where <br /> the money is coning from. <br /> Motion made by Mrs. Mills, seconded by Ms. Macdonald, that <br /> expenditures in the FY99 budget adhere to what exactly has been <br /> budgeted and any additions should come before the School <br /> Committee and indicate where the money is corning from. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous <br /> .1 Staff Appointments - Mrs. Cook questioned the hiring of <br /> school nurses. Dr. 1e1oura sand new school nurses are hired by <br /> the School Committee while transfers within the school system are <br /> as per the contract. Dr. l eMoura then informed the Committee of <br /> the following personnel issues: <br /> In-House Appointments: <br /> Kenneth. C.
