MASHPEE SCHOOL COMMITTEE <br /> EXECUTIVE SESSION <br /> AUGUST 10, 1998 <br /> Minutes <br /> Attendees: Chairwoman Theresa Cook, Stephen Paxton, Maryanne Macdonald, <br /> Kathleen Lynch, and Maryanne Macdonald. Also in attendance were Superintendent <br /> of Schools Dr. Lincoln A. I el Moura, Attorney William F. Butler til, John Chapman, <br /> Attorney Frederick Myco . <br /> The executive session was called to order by Mrs. Cook at 9:16 p.m. in high school <br /> room B 103. <br /> Discussion centered on the following topics: <br /> Custodial holiday pay grievance. <br /> Motion made by Mrs. Lynch, seconded by Mr. Paxton, to deny this grievance. <br /> MOLL CALL : In. favor - Mrs. Cook, Mr. Paxton, Ms. Macdonald, Mrs. <br /> Lynch, and Mrs. Mills, opposed - none. <br /> Due to a business conflict of interest with the individual involved in the incident <br /> below, Mrs. Lynch excused herself at this time from the executive session <br /> meeting roomy to discuss the following issue: <br /> Ir. DeMoura read aloud a "Court Report" from the July 22, 1998 Cape Cod <br /> Times. <br /> Discussion followed regarding this incident. It was decided the School <br /> Committee would wait to see the outcome of future court appearances before <br /> taping any action with the individual named in the "Court Report." <br /> Robert Tippo's contract change request. <br /> After discussion, a motion was made by Mgrs. Lynch, seconded by Mrs. Mills, <br /> to give all principals the opportunity to buy back 25% of their unused sick <br /> days after five years of service to the Ma h ee Public Schools. <br /> ROLL CALL : In favor - Mrs. Cook, Mr. Paxton, Ms. Macdonald, Mrs. <br /> Lynch, and Mrs. Mills; opposed - none. <br />
