Chairwoman 'Theresa Cook, Stephen Paxton, Maryanne Macdonald, and <br /> Kathleen Lynch. Janice Mills was absent this evening. Also in attendance was <br /> Superintendent ofSchools Dr. Lincoln A. DeMoura. <br /> I. Call Meeting The special meeting was called to order by Mrs. Cook at <br /> to order 7:06 p. a . in high school room B103. <br /> Staffing r Needs — High School principal John Williams discussed the FY2000 <br /> FY2000 high school positions. Included were the following: <br /> 0 a security clerk. Due - to increased concern over school <br /> security, Mr. Williams requested the placement of a clerk <br /> t the entrance to the high school. Mrs. Cooly asked the <br /> salary for this position. Mr. Williams responded that the <br /> hours would be 7:15 a.m.-2:15 .m. for 180 days. <br /> Approximate cost would b e $10,000. <br /> 0 a Director ofGuidance which would be similar to a <br /> curriculum chair or department head. This person would <br /> e responsible for coordinating the activities of the two <br /> guidance offices. <br /> 0 Mr. Williams also pointed out the high school will be <br /> adding another grade during the 1999-2000 school year <br /> therefore a need for all classrooms will exist. This would <br /> include the superintendent's office, the business office and <br /> the office of the Director of Instruction located in the high <br /> school. A new location needs to be discussed for these <br /> offices. Mrs. Cook suggested reviewing the town's <br /> Comprehensive Plan which suggests possible locations for <br /> the superintendent's office. Dr. I e1 l ura will bring <br /> pertinent information and slates to the September 2nd <br /> meeting. <br />
