Ac fowl- Mrs. Cook announced that this was Dr. Moura's last School <br /> edgments Committee meeting and thanked l him for his accomplishments and <br /> what he's done for the Mashpee Public Schools over the past 1 <br /> years. <br /> V, co mu i- 5.1 Correspondence from Gina Hotton dated se tember 1 <br /> cations 1998 - Mrs. Hotton's concern is regarding the elimination o <br /> instrumental lessons in grade 4. <br /> 5.2 'Correspondence from Kathleen McCarthydated September <br /> 26, 1998 - Mrs. M cCarth 's letter also addressed the same concern <br /> as above. <br /> Mfrs. Lynch responded to both concerns stating that when the <br /> budget was discussed, financial constraints were such that all <br /> programs could not be continued. Unfortunately, only <br /> instrumental music lessons for grades 5 and 6 could be saved. <br /> Mfrs. Mills suggested perhaps Leisure services could assist in this <br /> area. MIs. Macdonald stated there will be a Leisure services <br /> Advisory Council meeting on October 13, 1998 if Mrs. Hotton and <br /> Mrs. McCarthy would life to attend that meeting to address this <br /> issue. <br /> VI. Student student Advisory Council representative Chris Maguire said <br /> Advisory "Everything is OK so far." <br /> Council <br /> MIs. Macdonald asked if the High School menus were distributed. <br /> Mr. Williams said they are no longer sent home with each student <br /> but are posted on the web page and will be distributed to teachers. <br /> VII. Report of the .1 personnel - Dr. DeMoura updated the Committee on the <br /> Superintendent following personnel issues; <br /> Sri . ' Office -Mane Boucher, Bookkeeping Clerk <br />
