MASH EE PUBLIC SCHOOLS REGULAR MEETING DECEMBER 1, 1998 Minutes Attendees: School Committee: Chairwoman Theresa Cool, Stephen Paxton, Maryanne Macdonald, Kathleen Lynch, and Janice Mills. Also in attendance was Interim Superintendent of Schools William MacDonald. 1. Meeting Called Mrs. Cook eared the regular meeting to order at 7:05 p.m. in high to Order school conference room B 108. H, Approval of2.1 Joint Meetingwith High School Council- October 21, 1998._ - Minutes Motion made by Ms. Macdonald, seconded by Mrs. Mills, to approve the minutes of the joint meeting with the high school council of October 21, 1398. VOTE: Unanimous 2.2 Regular fleet --- November 2, 1998 - Motion made by Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Paxton, to approve the minutes of the regular meeting of November 2, 1998. NOTE: Unanimous 2.3 Executive Session- November 2, 1998 - Motion made by Ms. Macdonald, seconded by Mrs. Mills, to approve the minutes ofthe executive session of November 2, 1998. VOTE: Unanimous 2.4 Joint Meeting with Element xy Schools' Councils- November 18, 1998 (FY2000 Bud - Motion made by Mrs. Mills, seconded by Ms. Macdonald, to app rove, the minutes of the joint meeting t i the elementary schools'councils of November 18, 1998. TE: Unanimous Mrs. Lynch stated that at future -joint meetings, more School Council representation is needed. ILTL Public Forum Parents Norma Dias and Ellen Sharpe addressed the Committee regarding an issue with a high school coach. After each parent discussed their concern, Mrs. Cook suggested a meeting with all parties involved along with the high school sub-committee. The Superintendent's office will schedule a meeting. Ms. Dias also expressed concerns related to family confidentiality issues. Mr. MacDonald will address this concern at the next principals'roundtable on December 9th.
