3 <br /> S <br /> fi <br /> BOARD''7oF SELECTMEN <br /> MINUTES <br /> MONDAY, JANUARY 4., 1988 Regular Sessions <br /> Page 2. <br /> APPOINTMENTS & HEARINGS <br /> 7: 1.5 Andrew Eliason, Chairman of the Cable Advisory Committee was in to <br /> address questions that were raised previously regarding the contract <br /> with John Brooks Associates. Following further discussion Selectman <br /> Gottlieb moved to approve the contract with the last sentence on page <br /> 3. being changed to read that John Brooks Associates will be responsible <br /> for all on-site inspections. Selectman Carter seconded the motion. <br /> All were in favor. <br /> 7:35 - Selectman had previously continued a. public hearing on the application <br /> f Ottavio-Emma d/b/a. Carl's to allow Mr. Galasso the opportunity to <br /> submit his letter requesting to withdraw his application, which he had <br /> verbally requested. <br /> The Board received the letter requesting the withdrawal. <br /> Selectman Gottlieb moved to close the hearing. Selectman Carter seconded <br /> the motion. All were in favor. <br /> CLD BUSINESS <br /> 8 Selectmen reviewed the final draft of the February 1, 1988 special town <br /> meeting warrant. <br /> Selectmen pointed out various changes that needed to be made relative to <br /> typographical errors etc. <br /> Selectman Gottlieb moved to declare articles 3, 49 89 9, 109 129, 13 and 14 <br /> extraordinary. Selectman Hanson- seconded the- motion. All were in favor. <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> 1 r. Murphy advised the Board that the Barnstable County Charter Cormission <br /> has scheduled a public hearing on the proposed county charter on Tuesday, <br /> February 9th at 7:30 p.m. in the Town Mall Cafeteria <br /> Mr. Murphy explained that Dr. Petti, Mashpee's representative to the Commission <br /> are prepared to send specific invitations to the hearing to individuals or <br /> croups identified by the Selectmen. <br /> Selectman Thomas suggested a public notice in a Mashpee paper. <br /> Selectman Lawrence suggested Town Counsel ,. Treasurer, Town Accountant , <br /> Board of Assessors , Finance Committee and Board of Health. <br /> 2 Selectman Thomas asked that those members of the Board that were <br /> representatives to various committee ' s draft a report of their <br /> involvement which would be included in the annual report of <br /> Selectmen. She asked that she have it no later than January 2 . <br />
