I As BOARD OF SELECTMEN dkINUTE 0NDAY1 MARCH 28 , 19$8 Regular Session PRESENT: Selectmen Thomas , Gottlieb , Hanson , Lawrence and Carter and Executive Secretary Joseph F. Murphy and Town Counsel, Joseph J . Reardon GUESTS : Wendy Rubin ,, Phil Wilson ., Attorney Howard Horton , Richard Halpern Attorney Kevin Kirrane The meeting convened at 3 : 00 *m. MINUTES Selectman Gottlieb moved to accept minutes for January 4 , 1988 Execu-tive Session , January 11 , 1988 Regular Session , January 19 , 1988 Regular Session and March 21 , 1988 Regular and Executive Sessions . All were 1.n favor. APPOINTMENTS & HEARINGS Cablevision Advisory commission Recommendation - Attorney Howard Horton , who has been recommended by the Cablevision Advisory commission to provide professional services to the town with respect to the cable television licensing process . Discussed some aspects of cable TAT law. 'Mr. Carter ask ed if the town would be able to recoup administrative costs associated with licensing. Mr. Horton stated that there would be a very good chance of recovering most , if not all costs . Mr. carter asked why town coonel couldn ' t handle this task. Mr. Reardon stated that he could, but that Mr, Horton , having the experience he does , could handle the matter more quickly and more efficiently. It was the consensus of the hoard to have Mr. Horton submit a proposal to the Hoard. Seasonal Liquor License - A public hearing was held regarding the seasonal liquor license for Popponesset Inn, Popponesset Marketplace and the Barn . There were no comments from the applicants , the town or from the public, therefore, Mr. Carter moved to close the hearing and grant seasonal liquor license to Popponesset Inn , Popponesset Marketplace and the Barn . Mr. Lawrence and Mr. Hanson obs tained from voting on Popponesset Inn and Popponesset Marketplace and voted yes on the Barn . All were in favor. Cape Cod Convention Center - A public hearing was held regarding the Carpe Cod Convention Center ( d/b/a Sun- Wash Restaurant ) expanding its license to include vocal music, dancing, 3 video machines and two wool tables and expanding its current license to include Sundays .
