Mashpee Affordable Housing Committee <br /> Meeting Minutes <br /> May 8, 2018 at 6:30 pm <br /> Mashpee Town Hall <br /> Present: Chairman Allan Isbitz,Walter Abbott,Berkeley Johnson, <br /> Absent: Bruce Willard, Marie Stone <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br /> Chairman Isbitz opened the meeting at 6:37 p.m. with a quorum, and the roll was called. <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES April 3,2018 <br /> There was discussion about deferring the minutes until Mr. Willatd'arrived. <br /> At the.end of the meeting, discussion returned to the minutes and it was decided that the <br /> Committee would address the minutes. Mr. Abbott suggested keeping the minutes as they were. <br /> Chairman Isbitz requested that they be changed to clarify Mr. Kuchar's presentation. <br /> MOTION: Mr. Johnson made a motion to approve the minutes of the meeting of April 311 <br /> as amended by the Chair. Mr.Abbott seconded the motion. All voted unanimously. <br /> Regarding the motion appearing on page 4 of the April 3 minutes, the Chair wished to clarify <br /> whether the changes he made-to the motion would be included in the approval or whether the ' <br /> motion would be handled differently. Mr. Johnson had previously suggested the possibility of <br /> changing the motion, provided the person who moved it was present. Mr. Johnson inquired <br /> about Mashpee's procedure and Board Secretary Jennifer Clifford responded that the same <br /> situation had recently occurred with another Board and the Town Clerk requested that the <br /> original motion be rescinded, and a new motion made. The Chair indicated that, since the <br /> motion in the April 3 minutes could not be changed without Mr. Willard's consent, the proper <br /> method would be to rescind the motion. There was discussion about the content of the motion, <br /> with Mr. Abbott stating that the Committee could approve the document that they read. <br /> Chairman Isbitz stated that the Committee did not commission the study, which was <br /> commissioned by the Affordable Housing Trust. The Chair stated that the Committee had been <br /> tasked with providing a recommendation and not approving the study for the Trust. <br /> MOTION: Mr. Johnson made a motion to rescind this motion and have a new motion. <br /> Mr.Abbott seconded the motion. All voted unanimously. <br /> MOTION: Mr.Abbott made a motion to issue a letter to the Affordable Housing Trust <br /> stating the Affordable Housing Committee's recommendation to the Trust that it approve <br /> the final Feasibility Study for 950 Falmouth Road. Mr. Johnson seconded the motion. All <br /> voted unanimously. <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> 950 Falmouth Road-Chairman Isbitz shared the letter he was asked to draft regarding <br /> the 950 Falmouth Road Feasibility Study completed by Horsley Witten.
