Mashpee Affordable Housing Committee <br /> Meeting Minutes <br /> .June 5, 2018 at 6:30 pm <br /> Mashpee Town Hall <br /> Present: Chairman Allan Isbitz, Walter Abbott,Berkeley Johnson, Marie Stone <br /> Also Present: Wayne Taylor, Assistant Town Manager; Evan Lehrer, Town Planner <br /> Absent: Bruce Willard <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br /> Chairman Isbitz opened the meeting at 6:30 p.m. with a quorum, and the roll was called. <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES May 8, 2018 <br /> Minutes would be deferred to the next meeting because there was not a quorum of attending <br /> members. <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> 950 Falmouth Road-Chairman Isbitz confirmed that the Committee's recommendation <br /> had been forwarded to the Affordable Housing Trust. Mr. Taylor stated that a Trust meeting <br /> would be scheduled during the Board of Selectmen's meeting on June 25'x'. Brian Kuchar, of <br /> Horsley Witten, and Laura Shufelt would also be invited to attend. Mr, Taylor will communicate <br /> by email once the date was confirmed. <br /> Mr. Abbott expressed concern about an RFP being developed by the Trust. Mr. Taylor <br /> suggested the possibility that Ms. Shufelt, in coordination with himself and a member of the <br /> Affordable Housing Committee, would work on drafting an RFP to present to the Trust. Mr. <br /> Abbott also suggested the possibility of working with consultant,Ms. Sonnerberg and Mr. Taylor <br /> responded that Mr. Lehrer also had experience in affordable housing. <br /> Chairman Isbitz reported that he had received correspondence dated August 9, 2016, <br /> forwarding correspondence received from the Town Clerk dated May 16, 2018, from South Cape <br /> Resort& Club requesting that the office be copied on all public meetings and documents <br /> regarding affordable housing plans for 950 Falmouth Road. The letter was signed by Richard <br /> Terry, Attorney for South Cape, and it was requested that all notifications be sent to P.O. Box <br /> 406, Mashpee, MA 02469. <br /> Mashpee Wampanoag Village-There was no update. Mr. Abbott inquired about a <br /> change in the number of units and Ms. Stone responded that it was expected to be 52. Ms. Stone <br /> reported that plans were in the process of being revaluated. Mr. Abbott also inquired about <br /> DHCD's involvement with the development and Ms. Stone confirmed that she would follow up <br /> with the Director to find out if Mashpee would receive affordable housing credit. Mr. Lehrer <br /> confirmed that 42 was the number of units he had heard in reference to the project and Ms. Stone <br /> responded that she would inquire further. <br /> Mashpee Commons Chapter 40B Project-Chairman Isbitz stated that Mashpee <br /> Commons had completed their master planning week, The Town Planner, Evan Lehrer, <br />
