9 <br /> • Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> January 28, 2002 <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Project Mana eg ment: <br /> John F. Killoran, Principal JFK Systems was the recommended candidate <br /> for the implementation of the MUNIS software. Mr. Killoran provides <br /> information systems consulting services and has worked closely with <br /> MUNIS over the years. Recent engagements involving MUNIS include <br /> the Town of Brookline and the City of Fall River. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Leveille to proceed with the contract <br /> for Project Management services and the implementation of the <br /> MUNIS software system pending the formation of said contract by <br /> Town Counsel,Kopelman and Paige for the Board of Selectmen's <br /> review and execution. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Marsters. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> OLD BUSINESS: <br /> Active Duty—Benefits: <br /> Correspondence was received from Patrolman Glenn Gillan dated January <br /> 3, 2002 requesting the Town assist with his loss of salary while serving on <br /> active duty. It was noted that the Board recently reinstated Mr. Gillan's <br /> health insurance benefits. <br /> The Selectmen agreed to request a ruling from Town Counsel with respect <br /> to this regard as it pertains to collective bargaining. In addition, guidelines <br /> from other communities and a list of employee's presently serving in the <br /> National Guard will be further reviewed. The issue was taken under <br /> advisement at this time and will be placed on the Selectmen's agenda of <br /> February 11, 2002 for additional consideration. <br />
