13 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> March 25, 2002 <br /> MMR ISSUES. <br /> Joint Program office Termination: <br /> The Selectmen reviewed eo rnum*cation from area towns relative to the <br /> transfer of responsibilities from the Joint Program Office (JPO)to the <br /> nvironnnetal and Readiness Center located at the Massachusetts Military <br /> Reservation, <br /> The Department of Defense plans to phase out the JPO this stunner. The <br /> JPO has been a key organization, and has been effective in disseminating <br /> information to the public on matters related to the M.R. The work of the <br /> JPO has been excellent, in particular, the efforts of Jan Larkin. A number <br /> of important tasks are pending. of importance is the turn over of the <br /> water system to the Upper Cape water Cooperative. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cahalane to remit correspondence t <br /> Raymond DuBois,Deputy Under Secretary of Defense In appreciation <br /> to the JPO, and in request to continue to support the Joint Program <br /> Office until the restoration of the Cape's water system is complete. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous* 5- . <br /> Adjournment: <br /> Motion made.by Selectman Taylor to adjourn at 8:28 p.m, <br /> The Board will enter into Execrative Session at this time for the <br /> purpose of discussing collective bargaining.
