4 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> March 25, 2002 <br /> COMMUNICATIONS AN CORRESPONDENCE: <br /> Corres ondence from Bureau of Indian Affairs: (continued) <br /> Discussion followed with respect to sending Selectmen representation to <br /> Washington, D.C. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Leveille to authorize Selectmen <br /> members to expend funds to travel to Washington DC as <br /> an interested party and to maintain open communication with the <br /> Bureau of Indian Affairs on the Petition for recognition matter, <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Marsters. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> APPOINTMENTS TS AIT HEARINGS: <br /> Michael Forde—Sign Request: <br /> I la hpee educator Michael Porde and several representatives of the Class <br /> of 2006 were present to request the Selectmen approve signage dedicated <br /> to the Memorial Bike Path located on Route 151. <br /> From a list of narnes suggested by the Class of 200 6, the Selectmen chose <br /> the signage "USA Pride' dedicated to those who died on September 11, <br /> 2002 and its aftermath. 1t was noted that the sign would be made and <br /> donated by Mile Day of Day Signs. <br /> The Building Department has approved the design of the sign, and the <br /> Class of 2006 has requested a waiver of any fees as they are of non-profit <br /> status. The sign would be maintained by the applicant. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Leveille to approve the Sign Request of <br /> the Class of 2006, and waive associated fees to facilitate the <br /> completion of the project proposal as outlined. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-00 <br />
