J 1 <br /> 9 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> March 13, 2006 <br /> OLDBUSINESS: <br /> Special and Annual Town M eti Warrant vi —Drat#2-.. <br /> The Board of Selectmen reviewed Draft#2 of the Annual and Special <br /> Ton Meeting warrant of Monday, May 1, Zoo . Articles previously <br /> placed on hold were discussed. <br /> The Selectmen acted on the following articles: <br /> Article#13: To appropriate funds for the operation of the Kids Klub <br /> Enterprise Fund for fiscal year 2007. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Myers to add Article#13 to the Annual <br /> Town Meeting warrant. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cahalane. <br /> VO Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> The Board of Selectmen discussed the articles proposed by the Americans <br /> with Disabilities Act Committee (ADA)with Robert Woolridge. <br /> Correspondence was received from Town Counsel dated March 13,2006 <br /> with respect to this regard, <br /> Article#1 ': To establish a disability commission. <br /> It is the opinion of Toga Counsel that there is no substantial difference ire � <br /> the function of the ADA Conunittee and the proposed ADA Commission. <br /> It was noted the Board of Selectmen have the ability to establish said <br /> commission that would be created by an act of Town Meeting. Discussion <br /> followed with regards to the use of a special revolving account that would <br /> enable the ADA Committee to accept gids and funds. <br /> It was agreed the ADA Committee would develop mission statement for <br /> the Selectm.en's adoption. Selectmen Cook agreed to serve as liaison to' <br /> the ADA Committee and would attend the next meeting to provide <br /> assistance to address their concerns. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Taylor to withdraw Article#17 from the <br /> Annual Town Meeting warrant. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cahalane. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. <br /> 9 <br />
