6 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> April 2 , 2006 <br /> NEWBUSINESS: <br /> Recommendation for Appointment—Affordable HousiLig Committee: <br /> In response to advertisement, a letter of interest was received from <br /> Charlotte Carron dated February 9, 2006 to serve on the Mashpee <br /> Affordable Housing Committee. It was noted that Ms. Carron is presently <br /> employed as the administrative assistant to the Mashpee{Town Planner <br /> and is wellu lif ied for the position. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cooly to appoint Charlotte Carron to the <br /> Affordable Housing Committee. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 3-0. <br /> MEMA-rational Incident Management System Principles&Policies: <br /> Motion Ornade by Selectman Taylor, that the Town of Mashpee adopt <br /> the principles and policies of the National Incident Management <br /> System TIMS); formally recognize the National Incident <br /> Management System (NIBS) as the local standard for incident <br /> management; and as such, adopt the Incident Command System as <br /> the Town of i lashpee's official incident response system. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cool <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 3-0. <br /> It was noted the Town has taken action to ensure that all applicable staff <br /> members are certified. Such action will allow the Town to continue to be <br /> eligible for grant funding. <br /> COMMUNICATIONS AND CORRESPONDENCE: <br /> Doisy Dole Road: <br /> The matter of illegal dumping on Doisy Mole Road was discussed and will <br /> e brought before the Selectmen as a future agenda topic of discussion. <br /> The Town Manager is presently working with the Board of Health, DPW, <br /> the Town Planner, Tire and Police Chiefs s and Conservation Commission <br /> to review potential solutions to alleviate this type of occurrence. <br /> possible remedy is to gate the area.. <br />
