MINUTES April 4 . 1991 3 BOARD CE HEALTH <br /> Shell station - Mr Evans relayed Mr. Pinud has not ad-� <br /> dressed this issue as of yet. <br /> Mr. Costa was of the opinion that at the time of excava-- <br /> tion all contaminated soils were not removed from the area, <br /> Mr* �Mc uaid commented it is documented, that at the time <br /> of removal , there were residual hydrocarbons found in the <br /> soil* . Approximately 50 cubic yards of soil was excavated. <br /> This. procedure was witnessed by the then acting Fire Chief, <br /> an Thomas. In 1988 the shell Company installed five <br /> monitoring wells. Well number 5 has v.o.c. 's counts in the <br /> thousands. <br /> Mr. Costa voiced his concern with the close proximity of <br /> the well at the trailer park to the area of contamination. <br /> Mr. McQuaid relayed the area pf contamination is also on <br /> the perimeter of an approved well site for the Water Dis- <br /> trict.. <br /> Mr. Costa recommended v.o.c, testing at both Lakeside <br /> Trailer Park and the �-1 well site and directed Mr. McQuaid <br /> to <br /> retain a log o all time expended and expenses incurred. <br /> Board members agreed with Mr. Costa's recommendation, <br /> Mr. McQuaid commented Deputy Baker may require a tight <br /> tank test on the new tanks. <br /> 1I. Septic._- plan for Parks & Rec. Concession stand Mr. <br /> Evans recommended the new well also serge the Parks & Rec. <br /> building. <br /> Board members agreed. <br /> Mr. McQuaid commented he is unsure as to whether the new <br /> well will require state approval as it will be used in <br /> con3uction with a food service operation.
