" 'This town is relying on private <br /> haulers which is the only way this system will function, " <br /> Mr. McQuaid questioned Attorney Connelly as to what as- <br /> surances this Board has, once Five Star Enterprises is rein- <br /> stated, that all Mashpee refuse will be transported directly <br /> to Otis. <br /> Attorney Reardon questioned Mr. McQuaid if he has reason <br /> to believe that this is an ongoing problem. <br /> Mr. McQuaid responded, that he has doubts, once Five <br /> I <br /> Star is reinstated, that all trash will be transported di- <br /> rectly to Otis, as Five Star has been dealing directly with <br /> SEMASS for $10.00 less per ton. <br /> Attorney Connelly questioned why the Board believes that <br /> other haulers aren't dealing directly with SEMASS, "There <br /> are a couple of haulers working in the town right now that do <br /> not haul to Otis." <br /> Mr. Doherty stated this Board is unaware of any haulers <br /> { working in the town that do not dispose of their ' refuse a <br /> Otis. <br /> Attorney Connelly stated he would have someone talk with <br /> the Board tomorrow. <br /> Attorney Reardon expressed his concern with the possi- <br /> bility of haulers not disposing of refuse at Otis as the town <br /> is under an obligation to furnish tonnage, "The Board must <br /> maintain minimu n #tonnage requirements, �r <br />
