SHAY - ENVIRONMENTAL AND CIVIL <br /> ENGINEERING (CES) request approval of setback variances for the new construction of a residence and of <br /> a Title V septic system for the residential property located at 13 Seneca Avenue, Mashpee, MA. The <br /> following details the type of variance requested, technical justification of the variance and evidence that <br /> the granting of the variance will not pose a risk the environment as defined in 310 CMR 15.410 (1) (b). <br /> Tvne of Variance: <br /> A variance is requested for the following: <br /> • A Variance is requested to reduce the Title V and Town of Mashpee setback requirement for an SAS <br /> from 10 feet from a property line to 1 foot from Seneca Avenue. <br /> • A Variance is requested to reduce the Title V and Town of Mashpee setback requirement for an SAS <br /> from 10 feet from a property line to 2 feet from the lot line of the abutting property at #11 Seneca <br /> Avenue (Lot 120F). An affected abutter permission letter will accompany this submittal. <br /> • A Variance is requested to reduce the required Title V and Town of Mashpee 20 foot setback of an <br /> SAS from a house foundation to 17 feet. At this time, the proposed septic system plan does not <br /> requires that a 10 mil rubber membrane liner be installed between the foundation and the SAS <br /> Justification of the Variance: <br /> CES has located the Title V System components as shown on the attached plan entitled " Proposed <br /> Septic System& Foundation Location"due to the following site constraints: <br /> • The site is a 9,000 square foot parcel with limited land resources due to dramatic topography <br /> changes from one end of the lot to the other and with a bordering vegetative wetland that is <br />
