'
The designed system, as proposed, would require a variance of 3.5' from the normal requirement
of 50' between any leaching area, (primary or reserve), and a coastal bank.
Due to the proximity of the coastal banks, the water main, and taking into account that the
existing structure is situated near the existing driveway, an obvious hardship was encountered
when designing this lot. The enforcement of this setback would cause undue hardship. The
subject property has been previously approved for a total of 4 bedrooms. The proposed system as
presented before you is only designed for three bedrooms. Denial of a system for three bedrooms
using current technology would be unjust and cause substantial decrease in the value of this
property. The design proposed per the plans attached hereto are in full conformance with the
current applicable regulations.
Please advise if the Board has any questions relative to this request. This application is in the
process of being scheduled for a hearing before the Conservation Commission.
Thank you for your assistance.
Very truly yours,
Christopher M.
