Ball <br /> TBE TAPE IS NOT PART of TIE MEETWG IT IS FOR THE PURPOSE OF <br /> TRANSCRIPTION ONLY. <br /> Mr. Robert F. Cram, Sr., Chairman <br /> Mr. Michael Scipione and Mr. Roger Alcott, representing the engineering firm of Weston <br /> and Sampson and 11r. S. Joseph DiM ggio, landfill transfer station contractor, were in <br /> attendance. <br /> Mr. Cram stated, "The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the Landfill/Transfer <br /> Station contract specifications.' "Mr. McQuaid has submitted a list of comments which <br /> he feels should be addressed and possibly incorporated into the new contract." <br /> Mr. Scipione replied, "We hid the project a number of years ago with unit prices <br /> for escalation to move the project forward rd for the next couple of years." "Whether you <br /> meed to rebid it, in my opinion, you should consult with Counsel on that in the event there <br /> is an opportunity to negotiate however, I believe it has to be hid." <br /> "Mr. I it laggio commented, "I thought the landfill was exempt from Chapter <br /> oB." <br /> Mr. Scipione stated, "That was the ruling a couple of years ago.' "There was <br /> recent ruling in the town of Ashpee that might, have changed that so you need to cheep <br /> with Counsel to see if you falx under the exemptions. If you fall under the exemptions <br /> then you can negotiate the contract in terms, you don't have to go for a bid.' <br /> i <br /> Mr. Ball stated, "Because of the situation, it would be a good idea to go out to <br /> bid-15 <br /> i <br />
