MINUTES May 1, 1997 2 BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> Board members agreed to hold the household hazardous waste collection day on <br /> September 6, 1997 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Mashp a Middle School. <br /> . Letter from B. Davis re: 14 Cutlass Lane - Mr. McQuaid relayed, "At the last <br /> meeting we had, the Board agreed to invite Ms. Davis to an upcoming meeting." <br /> "Subsequently, we received a letter from Ms. Davis requesting water analysis on both her <br /> well and town water and questioning why she must connect to town water if the m.c.l.'s <br /> are below rec nnn nd d levels." <br /> l r, Grata motioned to direct the agent to forward a letter to Ms. Barbara favi <br /> informing her the Board stands with itsprevious decision that a water filter is not <br /> acceptable, if the private well is not disconnected by the time frame allotted a fine will be <br /> issued for each day the violation continues and to inform Ms. Davis she may attend the <br /> next meeting to appeal the Board's decision, Mr. Ball seconded, all agreed. <br /> 17.) "I did suggest to the engineer that he relocate the system in a m re <br /> northerly direction however, I was informed it would be a financial hardship as the entire <br /> house would have to be re-plumbed as it extends out to the southern side where the <br /> cesspool is located." "This is a voluntary system upgrade." <br /> Mr. Cram motioned to grant the variances as stated by Mr. McQuaid, Mr. Ball <br /> seconded, all agreed. <br /> 24 Riverside Road - llr. McQuaid relayed, "Thlb applicant is requesting a 2 ' local <br /> variance from the proposed oxo-site leaching facility to abutting well #3 Oliver Way) and <br /> a 41' local variance from the proposedon-site leaching facility to abutting well 034 <br /> Riverside Road)." "In nay opinion, the engineer has proposed the location of the leaching <br /> facility as far away from existing wells as possible." <br /> Mr. Ball motioned to grant the variances as stated by Mr. McQuaid,id, Mr. Doherty <br /> seconded, all agreed. <br />
