MNUTES September 18, 1997 2 BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> . Pond sampling results, 8/6/97 - Mr. McQuaid relayed, `These results are not <br /> sigrfifl aptly different from prior results, M. .T.E. ranged from 1.8 p.p.b. to 4.3 p.p.b. <br /> with the drinking water standards at 70 p.p.b.." <br /> . Mashpee_ Commons master plan meeting 9/24/97 - Mr. McQuaid relayed, <br /> "Apparently, Mashpee Commons has been holding these periodic development <br /> meetings." `Total nitrogen is below 5 p.p.m.." <br /> Mr. Ball relayed, "I would like a list of all denitrification leaching facilities that <br /> have been installed in to ." <br /> Mr. Evans volunteered to prepare the list. <br /> 7. Request from Sep-Tech for alternative clic osal sites - Ir. McQuaid relayed, <br /> `Their trucks are large enough to make it worth their while to haul septage ofd`Cape." "I <br /> recommend the Board approve this request." <br /> Mr. Cram motioned to grant the request to haul s ptage off Cape, Mr. Ball <br /> seconded. <br /> 8. Watershed Year kick-off 9/20/97 - Acknowledged. <br /> APP INTNIE T- Title v variance - 1 S ntuit Lane <br /> Mr. Stephen Silva, representative from the engineering firm of Holmes <br /> McGrath was in attendance for this scheduled appointment. There were no abutter's in <br /> attendance. <br /> Mr. Evans stated, "Tie applicant is requesting a variance from the regulation <br /> which requires ' of naturally occurring permeable soil between the bottom ofthe <br /> leaching facility and groundwater." <br /> Mr. Silva presented certified mail receipts to the Board and stated, "A retaining <br /> wall is necessary due to breakout reasons." <br /> Mr. McQuaid commented, "The adjusted groundwater elevation delineated on <br /> dans is 97.4 which brings only 1.3' below the silty loam so there is no permeable soil <br /> other than the 1. '." <br />
