"I think this material <br /> should go to the Bourne landfill which is now authorized to accept that kmnd of material." <br /> Mr. Oran commented, "If we were to accept the 55 gallon drums .that are there <br /> which-nobody knows what was in them or what kind of contamination was in therm, i <br /> this a problem we really want to face?" <br /> Mr. McQuaid responded, "I can tell you that there is no residue in the exposed 55 <br /> gallon drums however,, there are some half buried 55 gallon drums that I don't if there is <br /> any residue or what's in it." "We really didn't own the site and therefore, we are not <br /> really responsible for whatever is there." "I would highly recommend Board members view the site." <br /> Mr. Doherty commented, "I have no problem with disposing of the metals and <br /> tires at the landfill however, I would recommend the health went oversee the project." <br /> Mr. Oran agreed. <br /> Mr. McQuaid relayed, "The Selectmen will have to approve access to the land." <br /> Mr. McQuaid will keep Board members updated. <br /> . Memo Weston & Sgmpson re: Landfill post closure use - Mr. McQuaid <br /> relayed, "The original costs estimate to close the landfill was 1.23 million dollars." "At <br /> that time it was based n $100 000. per acre." "Since then the costs have come down <br /> to $70,000.00 to $80,000.00 per acre." "Based on that difference I thought there would <br /> be a possibility of using the excess money to create to soccer fields on the property yet <br />
