r T EXECUTIVE SESSION October 10, 199 6 2 Bow OF HEALTH Mr. Cram stated, `The Board a week ahead or if it happens to come up for some reason that it is less then that then the sitting chairman approves it." Mr. Ball stated, "`I have no problem with that. Mr. Doherty stated, `Fine with rye." �. Evans stated, "Let's say you had a little hone emergency and you had to run home to do something, that's when normally you would take comp time or something of that nature. Mr. Cram stated, "which I mean okay, you're talking now, a situation or something like that." Mr. Evans stated, "Im not talking about coverage, I$m talking about this business of having to get it signed off advance." 1Ir. Ball stated, "Well, it's verbal." Ir. Cram stated, "If there's something that you know that you're going to taKe corp. time for prior to the geek ahead all we're asking is that you bring it up to the Board and say okay, I got so much comp. time coming of which I want to tape tvo weeks From noir, on say Friday or whatever." l x. McQuaid stated, "That's life taking comp, time instead of vacation time.'? Mr. Cram stated, "Yeah, right." i lr, McQuaid stated, "'what Orin is saying is if an emergency cones up." I fr. Gran stated, "Okay, and I would have said now if it gets down to that point well now you don't have the Measure of the time factor, this is where the sitting chairman will come in and you say look l got to do such and such and I've got to take this time off." Mr. McQuaid stated, "The problem arises Orin is when, I'll give you hypothetical, for example this afternoon you know this afternoon I had to go to the County to get those special water sample bottles to retest the high school for lead and copper and I left at 3:00 to go to the County., "In fact, I didn't get hack home until after 4:00 but in an instance like that there should be no reason for you to leave the office before 4:00 unless indeed, there was ars emergency and then you would notify Bob." r- -
