Doherty <br /> THE TAPE IS NOT PART OF THE MMETING IT IS FOR TBE PURPOSE OF <br /> TRANSCR ffION ONLY. <br /> Mr. Robert F. Cram, Chairman <br /> 1. warrants signed. <br /> APPOINTMENT: Department of Public Health - Augat "Health Consultation" <br /> Ms. Elaine Krueger (Chief of the Environmental Toxicology Program) from the <br /> Department of Public Health), Mr. Phil Trowbridge (Environmental Scientist from the <br /> Department of Public Health), an Augat representative, residents from Sampson's Mill- <br /> Road area, concerned citizens and Attorney Ed Scanlon(representing a few residents from <br /> the Sampson's NO Road area). <br /> Mr. Cram stated, `This meeting of the Board ofHealth is going to basically consist <br /> of the Department ofPublic Health." `Our basic business tonight is to answer questions <br /> from residents in the Sampson's Mill Road area and from concerned citizens." <br /> Ms. Krueger stated, "We were asked for technical support and assistance for the <br /> Mashpee well program back in late May early June by your local Board of Health to try <br /> and sort out some of the health concerns that arose in relation to some of the contaminants <br /> that were found in some of the wells with this situation. "We're the environmental <br /> bureau within the Health Department."' "`we have a variety ofprograms in our <br /> environmental bureau." "'we provide technical support to a lot of the other State agencies <br /> in terns of the health component to the environmental investigation." `'Ve do receive <br /> Federal money to augment what we do at the Mate level in terms of providing technical <br /> assistance on issues like this to local conunun0 ies." "The Agency for Toxic Substance and <br /> Disease Registry is a public health service agency the federal goverment which funds <br /> much of our ability to do this and they provide money for us to do health consultations <br /> which is what the document is that we distributed to you tonight.1013 "This represents <br />
