5 <br /> Pa ge 2 Minutes April 20 1980 <br /> Chairman O'Connell recognized Mrs , Selma o l l i n s , a resident <br /> of the Town. Mrse Rollins respectfully requested tha-t a non <br /> binding referendum be put on the May to, 1980 ballot. "Should <br /> the state take South Cape each" She requested that the Board <br /> vote on this immediately. Chairman 'Connell stated that they <br /> would take it up with 'down Counsel. Mrs. Rollins stated that <br /> she had signatures from residents -and saw no reason for not <br /> passing on it today. However, the Board .is waiting for the <br /> South Cape Beach Advisory Committee to meet on April 9, 1980 <br /> for their input and the Board will await their opinion of the <br /> question, and what the proper wording of the referendum quest- <br /> ion should be. <br /> Mr. Blakeman eman than asked- that as long as we were on subject of <br /> non-binding referendums, he would like the same dome regarding <br /> the changing of closing hours from 2 a.m. to 1 a.m. . 'down <br /> Counsel stated that as long s the Board is the local licensing � <br /> liquor authority that they have the right to do whatever they <br /> want and if it comes up on the floor at the Annual 'down Meeting <br /> Counsel will instruct the Moderator that this is a non-binding <br /> referendum. <br /> Chairman O'Connell recognized Will Hanson, He presented the <br /> plans for the sign to be erected at the Police and Fire Stations . <br /> Cape Cod Sign of Hyannis quoted $1, 894.00, Louise vuilleimier, <br /> $850.00 and Ama on Wood Carving, $1, 750.00. A motion was made <br /> by Mr. Garland to- give the job to Amadon good Carving, seconded <br /> by Mr. Benway and Chairman O'Connell. <br /> The Board voted to go into Executive Session to discuss The F'arm' s <br /> Waspensio ,obu in ,� nd erFs nnel matters in the Police Dent. <br /> een a� ournea a� �+ r <br /> g p <br /> Respectfully pectfully submitted, <br /> Carole A.
