Mashpee Planning and Construction Committee <br /> Minutes of Meeting Held Thursday, lune 28, 2018 <br /> Mashpee Town Hall—Ockway Meeting Room <br /> Committee Members Present: Steve Cook, Joe Brait, and Tom O'Neill <br /> Absent: Geoff Gorman <br /> Also Present: Catherine Laurent, DPW <br /> Chairman Steve Cook called the meeting to order at 5:15 p.m. <br /> Old Business <br /> Recommendation for Proposed Change Orders No. 4, 9, 10, and 11 <br /> The Committee discussed PCO No. 9 at the last meeting. The amount was not finalized before <br /> the Selectmen's meeting so it was not approved. The amount is now known; it is$70,502.78. <br /> PCO No. 4 is for revisions to the door access control system which include addition of access <br /> control on the inner door at both the main entrance and the Superintendent's entrance; the <br /> entrances are comprised of an air lock with two sets of doors. This change requires <br /> modification to the door hardware. The amount is $1.0,233.11. <br /> PCO No. 10 is for revisions to one of the interior courtyards in the school. The original scope <br /> provided a walkway through the grass courtyard to meet ADA requirements. The grass is a <br /> maintenance issue for DPW. The change includes addition of a patio adjacent to a teachers' <br /> lounge and replacement of the loam/seed with mulch/river stone. The amount is $13,194.04. <br /> PCO No. 11 is for revisions to the exterior walkway at the Superintendent's Office. The existing <br /> walkway does not meet ADA requirements. The original scope provided an accessible ramp <br /> with handrails. The change includes re-grading the area to lessen the slope and eliminate the <br /> need for handrails. The amount is $4,729.13.. <br /> The total amount of the Proposed Change Orders is $98.659.06. <br /> Joe Brait motioned to recommend approval of Proposed Change Orders No. 4, 9, 10, and 11, as <br /> written in the total amount of$98.659.06; and Tom O'Neill seconded the motion. <br /> Vote: 3 Yes; Unanimous. <br /> Steve Cook,yes.
