Mashpee Planning and Construction Committee Minutes of Meeting Held Thursday,June 14, 2018 Mashpee Town Hall—Ockway Meeting Room Committee Members Present: Steve Cook, Joe Brait, and Tom O'Neill Absent: Geoff Gorman Also Present: Catherine Laurent, DPW Chairman Steve Cook called the meeting to order at 5:20 p.m. Approval of Minutes Joe Brait motioned to accept the minutes of the Meeting of May 10, 2018 as written; and Steve Cook seconded the motion. Vote: 3 Yes; Unanimous. Steve Cook,yes. Joe Brait, yes. Tom O'Neill, yes. Old Business Update onQuashnet School Window/Roof Proiect Work on phase 113 finished for students to return to the classrooms on May 30 and students were relocated for Phase 2 to start on June 1. One window was not received and one had broken glass. Temporary windows have been installed in their place. These will be replaced with the correct windows over summer break. Phase 2 will continue through the end of the school year. Phase 3 which includes continued window replacement as well as roofing, bathroom renovations, and door replacement will start immediately after school ends. Recommendation for Proposed Change Order No, 9 Proposed Change Order No. 9 corresponds to PR06, roof modifications for HVAC equipment. The work proposed by the change order includes installation of new curbing for the 3 new roof- top HVAC units purchased separately by the Town, provision of vents for the IT server rooms, and removal of obsolete fan units. The final amount of PCO No. 9 is still being determined but should be available for the Selectmen's meeting on June 18. Since the final amount of PCO No. 9 is not known, Steve Cook recommended approving up to $80,000. Joe Brait motioned to recommend approval of Proposed Change Order No. 9 with an allowance of up to $80,000; and Tom O'Neill seconded the motion.
