Mashpee Planning and Construction Committee <br /> Minutes of Meeting Held Thursday,June 14, 2018 <br /> Mashpee Town Hall—Ockway Meeting Room <br /> Committee Members Present: Steve Cook, Joe Brait, and Tom O'Neill <br /> Absent: Geoff Gorman <br /> Also Present: Catherine Laurent, DPW <br /> Chairman Steve Cook called the meeting to order at 5:20 p.m. <br /> Approval of Minutes <br /> Joe Brait motioned to accept the minutes of the Meeting of May 10, 2018 as written; and Steve <br /> Cook seconded the motion. <br /> Vote: 3 Yes; Unanimous. <br /> Steve Cook,yes. Joe Brait, yes. Tom O'Neill, yes. <br /> Old Business <br /> Update onQuashnet School Window/Roof Proiect <br /> Work on phase 113 finished for students to return to the classrooms on May 30 and students <br /> were relocated for Phase 2 to start on June 1. One window was not received and one had <br /> broken glass. Temporary windows have been installed in their place. These will be replaced <br /> with the correct windows over summer break. Phase 2 will continue through the end of the <br /> school year. Phase 3 which includes continued window replacement as well as roofing, <br /> bathroom renovations, and door replacement will start immediately after school ends. <br /> Recommendation for Proposed Change Order No, 9 <br /> Proposed Change Order No. 9 corresponds to PR06, roof modifications for HVAC equipment. <br /> The work proposed by the change order includes installation of new curbing for the 3 new roof- <br /> top HVAC units purchased separately by the Town, provision of vents for the IT server rooms, <br /> and removal of obsolete fan units. The final amount of PCO No. 9 is still being determined but <br /> should be available for the Selectmen's meeting on June 18. <br /> Since the final amount of PCO No. 9 is not known, Steve Cook recommended approving up to <br /> $80,000. <br /> Joe Brait motioned to recommend approval of Proposed Change Order No. 9 with an allowance <br /> of up to $80,000; and Tom O'Neill seconded the motion. <br />
