Concern was expressed that .Iakepeace was <br /> drawing water off the pore for their bogs . <br /> Chairman stated -that he had Jim Ames contact people from Makepeace , <br /> and the Commonwealth of Mas a hu' setts relative . to what Makepeace <br /> can do and can not do in regards ' to flooding bogs , Right now, <br /> Makepeace i s not taking any water for his boas from the south side <br /> P g <br /> of John' s Pond.. If water is running off, it has nothing to do with <br /> al epeace or his bogs . It' s because someone has been taking the <br /> hoards out or there is ' a culvert that' s open. on the north end of <br /> the Pond right now, Makepoace is taking no water for its bogs . <br /> They will be taking water in October to harvest the boas and they <br /> will also take water in late December or early January to flood the <br /> boas because of the Winter -kill. In addition, the present license <br /> that Makepeace has with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts which was <br /> renegotiated in 1968 , has no drop limit written into it per se, <br /> They - can take .water for their operation, however, there is a catch <br /> phrase which if proper notification is made _to the Commonwealth <br /> that and level hays descended to such a lel as to interfere with <br /> or preclude the use and plesure and so forth of the. residents of <br /> the Pond, upon proper notification to the Conunonwealth the on- <br /> -1 - <br /> i <br />
