I N F O R M A T I O N
SECOND REQUEST
The Council on Aging would like the Board' s decisions on these-
items:
A. Maintenance Department - Finish painting the trim on the
upper part of ,the building or hire a painting contractor.
Someone who has the equipment.
B. Nutrition Site Manager has asked for two (2) two ft. shelves
to be over the counter next to the stove. The Council
thought that the Maintenance Crew could build them. Larry
suggested that we get a carpenter to do it.
C. Is there an oil burner service man under contract? In case
of an emergency who are we to contact? The burner has been
cleaned and serviced this summer.
D. Is there any R. R. ties on Town Property that are not being
• used? We could use some around the islands in the parking
lot. They would protect the shrubs , etc.
Last winter the fuel assistance applications were distributed
from the Selectmen' s office. There wasn' t any record of who
or how many people received assistance in the Town of MashDee.
The Towns of Bourne and Falmouth had copies of all applications.
I think that Mashpee should be entitled to its share. There isn' t
any doubt that there are people receiving assistance that shouldn' t
be, and there are people that should be that are not.
The Council on Aging would like a new piano. The one we have can' t
be fixed. It was suggested that I contact Elizabeth Simpson for
a grant through the Mass. Council of the Arts. Elizabeth said
that the Selectmen' s office has the telephone.number. I will call
them to see what monies are available .
•
